God's Plan and Your Uncertain Times
When terrible things happen, there are
two choices, and only two: We can trust God,
or we can defy Him. We believe that God is
God, He's still got the whole world in His hands
and knows exactly what He's doing, or we must
believe that He is not God and that we are
at the awful mercy of mere chance.
Elisabeth Elliot
"For I know the plans that I have for you,"
declares the LORD,
"plans for welfare and not for calamity
to give you a future and a hope."
Jeremiah 29:11

Lovely post. That's one of my favourite bible verses.
ReplyDeleteSome people will choose to trust, some will choose to not believe in God, but there are some who even blame God for what is happening. If God is so good, why does he allow so much sadness, so much suffering, and so much evil in the world? It's funny how us humans demand freedom of will...but when something goes wrong because we have misused our free will, we choose to point the finger at God...
Thanks De Lly, You make an excellent point concerning free will. That is exactly how I feel about it. We need to take ownership for our actions and feelings. We do have a choice.
